What Educators Say about Centerstage

“The students and teachers absolutely loved the project..."
Leigh Shampain, Principal,
Sonora School, Sonora CA

“The shows were a tremendous success. Marleen Sullivan worked very well with me and the school staff. Centerstage provides a great service to the community”
Ed Quinn, Principal
Teneya School Groveland CA

"Being there spending time with all of the people there taught me so much and gave me the sense of knowledge I use today, I truly and honestly believe that being at Centerstage has helped make me the man that I am today. I can't thank Marleen and everyone that was there enough for being a part of the foundation to who I am."
Wayne Egan, United States Navy

Centerstage Media Project provides an introduction and potential access to the media industry, both behind and in front of the camera. City leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs are brought in to be interviewed by the students, providing hands on training, as well as valued relationships and resources right where they live. Sessions are geared for 7th-12th grade, with some exceptions.  Local professional child actors and well as seasoned industry professionals impart guidance, from proper breathing and relaxation to shooting, editing and even starring in their own work. Partnering with Oak-View Renewal Project and other local nonprofits, the vision and mission is to empower students with media skills so they can serve profitably and professionally in their community.
Isabella Martinez has won a YSA/Disney grant to be featured on ABC as a youth creativity grant recipient winner, chronicling her mission to help seniors learn social media through Centerstage Media Project!
